Trees for Tampa

The City of Tampa’s goal of planting 30,000 trees by 2030 includes the following planting programs for City of Tampa residents:

Planting in Public Spaces

A public planting street tree initiative created to significantly increase the number of trees planted along the City’s public realm. The goal is to:

  • Combat tree canopy loss
  • Mitigate urban heat island effects
  • Expand Tampa’s overall tree planting efforts

Treemendous:

 A free program that provides individuals and neighborhood associations with trees for planting on City land, greenways, and street rights of way.

Plant Your Heart Out

A neighborhood tree planting program that is funded by Suncoast Credit Union and implemented by Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, in partnership with the City of Tampa.
