Now Available: CDBG-DR Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Small Multifamily Rehabilitation Projects
Hillsborough County is pleased to announce that the Request for Proposals (RFP) entitled "CDBG-DR Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Small Multifamily Rehabilitation Projects" is available on the County's website from now until September 21st, 2026.
The County is seeking competitive sealed proposals from experienced and qualified for-profit and non-profit entities to rehabilitate, manage and operate small multifamily rehabilitation projects for unmet recovery needs resulting from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Interested applicants are encouraged to review the solicitation package and all supporting materials for eligibility requirements, program details, submission instructions, and applicable deadlines.

City of Tampa Residents with Property Damage from 2024 Hurricanes Can Still Apply for Hillsborough County’s Rebuilding for Tomorrow Program
Income-eligible residents within the City of Tampa city limits can apply for relief funds as part of the County’s Rebuilding for Tomorrow Homeowner Repair and Reconstruction Program.
Residents can apply at RebuildingForTomorrow.HCFL.gov.
Eligible residents can qualify for up to $350,000 to replace or rebuild storm-damaged housing; $10,000 - $50,000 in eligible reimbursement costs for permitted work already completed by the homeowner (minimum reimbursement is $10,000); or up to $150,000 in repairs that have not been completed or covered under other programs. The program is for residents earning up to 120% of Area Median Income ($100,080 annual household income for a two-person household), with priority given to those earning 80% or less of Area Median Income ($66,800 annual household income for a two-person household).
Please note: If you received funds from the City of Tampa’s Homeowner Hurricane Assistance program and still have outstanding repairs or reimbursement costs, you may still be eligible for the County’s program and are encouraged to apply.

The Rebuilding for Tomorrow program will remain open until all funding is obligated.
Rental and Move-In Assistance Program
The City of Tampa’s Rental Move-In Assistance Program (RMAP) reopened for Phase X on Tuesday, April 21st.
This phase of the program will exclusively provide assistance with move-in costs for eligible residents.

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC)
The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) meet on the 3rd Wednesday every other month at 3:00 pm (Jan, March, May, July, Sept, Nov.). The meeting is held in our Harbor and Bay Conference Room at 2555 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa Florida 33610. The Harbor and Bay Conference Room is located on the 3rd floor of the City Center building. Everyone is invited to attend. You will be required to provide picture identification.
AHAC serves as the advisory review board to periodically evaluate established policies, procedures, ordinances, land development regulations, and the local government comprehensive plan, and reports its finding to the Mayor and City Council with recommended changes.

Improving Lives and Communities Across Tampa
The Housing and Community Development Division (HCD) plays a lead role in the development of housing and citizen support programs to serve the city's low and moderate income households, homeless, and disabled populations. HCD maintains and expands housing opportunities for low and moderate income persons and families in the city by:
- Preserving the city's housing stock through rehabilitation and repair assistance programs.
- Expanding the supply of affordable housing for lower income renters and owners, including first-time home buyers.
- Serving the needs of the homeless community and partnering with homeless service providers.
- Providing impartial, unbiased investigation services for discrimination complaints in the areas of employment, housing and public accommodation to any person who believes they have been discriminated against.
- Providing outreach activities by offering employment, housing and public accommodations seminars / workshops to keep the public informed about their civil rights.
