Enjoy open play pickleball at multiple locations during peak times for free.

Pickleball is a paddle sport played with a whiffle ball on a badminton-sized court and a tennis-style net. A non-volley zone (or kitchen) prevents volleys close to the net, and the serving team cannot volley the return of serve. These unique rules favor players with less mobility and allow senior players to compete successfully with younger competitors.

Participating Locations:

  • Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, 1001 North Boulevard
  • Macfarlane Park, 1700 North MacDill Avenue
  • Rowlett Park, 2401 East Yukon Street

The 2025 Move with the Mayor® (MWTM) Spring Mental Health and Physical Activity Challenge is a month-long initiative led by the City of Tampa in partnership with the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention. Kicking off May 1 during Mental Health Awareness Month, the challenge encourages residents to prioritize their well-being through movement and mindfulness.
