Event Collection
Join the City of Tampa for a community event focused on extreme heat. The event will feature a cool corridor simulation that will include interventions such as tree-shaded sidewalks, hydration stations, misters, community gardens, and heat stress education. Participating organizations include Tampa Family Health Centers, Hillsborough County, and the Healthy 22nd Street Garden. Giveaways will include cooling essentials such as sunscreen and cooling towels.
Attendees are encouraged to:
- Bring a refillable water bottle
- Dress in loose-fitting, lightweight, and light-colored clothes
