World Car-Free Day brought to you by the Tampa Downtown Partnership & Walk Bike Tampa

World Car Free Day is organized in various cities throughout the world in different ways, but with the common goal of reducing the number of cars on the streets. The benefit is a day with less traffic congestion, a greener environment and reduced gasoline demand. Today, World Car Free Day includes celebrations in 46 countries and over 2,000 cities.

The Tampa Downtown Partnership is excited to join forces with Walk Bike Tampa as the downtown host for the 2024 World Car Free Day! Together, we'll showcase how Tampa's Downtown is activated year-round, highlighting the vital role transportation plays in its ongoing success.
