The World's Largest Swimming Lesson is taking place at four City of Tampa pools:
- Copeland Pool, 11001 N 15th St. (media will be present)
- Loretta Ingraham Pool, 1611 N Hubert Ave.
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Pool, 2200 N Oregon Ave.
- Cyrus Greene Pool, 2101 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Apart from the lesson, this free event promoting water safety and drowning prevention also will have giveaways, information on lessons, water safety tips and more.
Come be a part of this amazing global event as we work together with aquatics facilities and waterparks on six continents to learn important water competency and safety skills. Drowning is preventable, but sadly, it’s the leading cause of unintended death for kids 1-4, the second-leading cause for kids 5-14 and third-leading cause of unintentional injury-related death worldwide.
