Description
This project provides for the rehabilitation of the wastewater pumping stations 6304 Orient Road (Parke East Pump Station) and 6001 North Olive Avenue (Idlewild Pump Station). Project will include replacement of pumps, piping, valves, and electrical improvements to ensure continued reliability of the station.
Community Benefits
The pumping station rehabilitation project will restore the station’s reliability by replacing the aging equipment and will include improvements to reduce vulnerability to extreme weather events. The station is a critical wastewater asset and failure of the station would result in a wastewater overflow that would impact the environment and pose a public health threat to the surrounding neighborhoods.
