City of Tampa Emergency Transportation Service Program
The City of Tampa is providing residents impacted by Hurricane Helene vouchers for up to $25 off Uber rides to Comfort Stations in the City of Tampa. Each voucher is valid for up to two round trip rides from the Comfort Stations during operational hours.

WHEREAS, the City of Tampa (City) is currently under a State of Emergency Order and many of its residents are displaced from their homes or have lost access to personal transportation in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to assist its residents by providing comfort zones which will provide residents access to city services to address their immediate needs and long term recovery;
WHEREAS, the Tampa Emergency Transportation Service (TETS) Program will provide transportation to these comfort zones through free Uber rides in exchange for program participant’s agreement to Release, Waive, and Hold Harmless the City of Tampa from any injury that may occur pursuant to participation in the TETS Program as follows.
Participant Agreement
By participating in the TETS program, the Participant acknowledges and agrees to abide by this Agreement and any subsequent updates or amendments.
Participant acknowledges that the TETS program only covers Uber expenses for a maximum of four (4) rides, none of which can exceed Twenty-Five Dollars ($25) in cost, which may only be made to one of the three City of Tampa designated sites for the Program and expires at 11:59 pm October 25, 2024.
The Participant, in consideration of the request and permission to participate in the TETS program, hereby assumes full responsibility and all risk of injury or loss, including death, which may result from participation in the TETS program and hereby agrees to hold harmless, release, waive, forever discharge, and covenant not to sue or bring claims against City, its officers, agents, or employees, by reason of accident, injury, or death, damage to, loss, or destruction of any property arising or resulting directly or indirectly from the Participant's participation in the TETS program and occurring during said participation, whether or not such loss, injury, or death is caused, or alleged to be caused, in whole or in part, by the negligent acts or omissions of City, its officers, agents, or employees. The terms of this Agreement shall serve as a Release, Waiver, and Hold Harmless release and assumption of risks for the Participant and Participant's heirs, executors, administrators, and for all of Participant's family members.
By enrolling, the Participant acknowledges that they have read the foregoing paragraphs and have been fully advised of the potential risks incidental to engaging in the TETS program.
