Project Information Session + Diversity Outreach


On Wednesday, February 16, DPR Construction, the design-build contractor for the City Center at Hanna Avenue, held an information session at Ragan Park Community Center in East Tampa. The meeting was free and open to the public. Attendees learned about DPR Construction’s role in the development of the City Center at Hanna Avenue and about project-related opportunities in trade contracting, local hiring, and general workforce development in the construction industry.

Neighborhood Transportation Study – Final Report Presentation


Wednesday, February 9, 2022 
The City’s Mobility Department recently discussed how the City Center at Hanna Avenue will impact the transportation network within East Tampa. They shared results, recommendations, and next steps from the recent Transportation Study including short-, medium-, and long-term recommended improvements in the study area.

City Center at Hanna Avenue: Virtual Community Presentation – November 1, 2021

The City of Tampa will begin the next phase of “Transforming Tampa’s Tomorrow”. Representatives from the City of Tampa, DPR Construction, and Fleischman Garcia Architects presented information about the City Center at Hanna Avenue. The state-of-the-art 161,000 sq. ft. government services building will serve as a gathering space for neighborhood residents while housing several City departments and divisions. This significant investment increases efficiencies across City operations brings government closer to the people and represents a brighter future for all of Tampa.

Tampa City Council – November 4, 2021

The Tampa City Council approves funding for the construction of the City Center at Hanna Avenue, associated parking garage, and other structures related to the development. Prior to the video, City personnel along with representatives from DPR Construction and Fleishman Garcia Architects presented the design plans for the City Center at Hanna Avenue. The Tampa City Council approved funding for the construction of the City Center, adjacent parking garage, and two other structures on the development site. City Council’s unanimous vote makes a historic infrastructure investment in East Tampa.

Listening Session for Proposed Municipal Office Building

On April 26, 2021, the City of Tampa held its first listening session about the proposed construction of a municipal office building. The listening session was for residents and business owners most affected by the development project. This virtual event gave residents the opportunity to provide much-needed feedback to help guide the development of a new City Center at 2515 East Hanna Avenue. Watch

Hanna Avenue Transportation Study - Virtual Community Update

Experts within the City of Tampa Mobility Department presented the scope of the Transportation Study for the City Center at Hanna Avenue. This virtual event follows the Traffic and Roadway Safety Neighborhood Walking Tour which allowed residents to talk with transportation experts about challenges facing pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers. Commissary Kitchen and Food Business Incubator

The City of Tampa is seeking proposals to select an operator for a shared use commercial kitchen, also known as a commissary kitchen, and a food business incubator. The City Center at Hanna Avenue will house this business enterprise.
