Program Summary

The Program is intended to eliminate slum and blight by providing affordable housing opportunities for income-eligible individuals or households on CRA-owned lots. Affordable housing opportunities can attract new businesses, investments, and residents to the area, spurring economic development and revitalization. The Tampa CRA is soliciting proposals from qualified Real Estate Developers for the construction, marketing, and sale of single-family attached and single-family detached homes on infill lots within the East Tampa CRA. The proposed release date is no later than April 2025. The maximum subsidy per unit varies based on the Area Median Income (AMI) percentage, with a maximum award amount of $350,000 per affordable unit. The affordability period for these units extends for 50 years, ensuring long-term availability for low-income residents.
