Road races: Saturday, February 24th & Sunday, February 25th, 2018
Traffic is expected to be heavier than normal this weekend in and around downtown Tampa due to the Gasparilla Distance Classic road races. Drivers and pedestrians alike are advised to allow for extra travel time and to travel through the area with caution.
Friday, February 23rd, Race registration at the Tampa Convention Center. There will be a large influx of vehicles associated with this activity, especially between 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. A free shuttle will be operating from the Royal Regional Parking lot ($2.00 parking fees will apply) to the Tampa Convention Center for the 8 on Your Side Health & Fitness Expo beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23rd only.
Saturday, February 24th, races begin at 6:40 a.m. Street closures will begin at 3:00 a.m. and end at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Sunday, February 25th, races begin at 5:55 a.m. Street closures will begin at 3:00 a.m. and end at approximately 11:30 a.m.
