Due to more extensive repairs needed to complete this work, the intersection of East 8th Avenue and North 20th Street will continue to remain closed while the Tampa Water Department completes repairs from a previous water main break. No traffic is allowed on East 8th Avenue between North 19th Street and North 21st Street as well as on North 20th Street between East 7th Avenue and East 9th Avenue. Barricades and signs are located in the area to assist with traffic flow. Please use caution when driving in the area. Modifications may be necessary during the course of the work.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is now expected by 5pm, Friday, October 6. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
