Both westbound lanes, as well as the eastbound turn lane, on West Kennedy Boulevard are now closed between South Westland Avenue and South Albany Avenue while the Tampa Water Department continues to repair a water main break. The eastbound lanes are currently being used to keep both westbound and eastbound traffic flow. Barricades and signs are located in the area to assist with traffic flow. Please use caution when driving in the area. Modifications may be necessary during the course of the work.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is still expected by 5pm, Thursday, July 18. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
