Tampa, FL—Kicking off Black History Month, the City of Tampa Black Heritage Committee, Inc. (COTBHC) will host their 30th Annual Black History Celebration this Friday, February 2nd 2018 at 11am.
In previous years, COTBHC has hosted their Black History Celebration at the Tampa Convention Center with esteemed speakers like former Florida state senator, Arthenia Joyner. This year, the theme for the event is “Thirty Years of Service: Reflecting on Our Past, Moving Towards the Future.”
To highlight the importance of equality and diversity, COTBHC has selected historian and retired City of Tampa employee, Mr. Charles “Fred” Herns, as the keynote speaker. In addition, WFLA News Anchor, Rod Carter, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
