This week is the ESPA Celebrate Services Week, and our Convention Service Managers celebrated with their annual tradition of cooking for a cause.

On Monday evening, a group of our Convention Services Managers teamed up with Visit Tampa Bay, to cook meals for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Tampa.

For 38 years, The Ronald McDonald House of Tampa has been helping children with challenging medical needs, and their families, stay close together during difficult times. Their main mission is to establish welcoming home-like environments where families can stay while their children seek medical care.

After the families came back from spending all day at the hospital on Monday, our team made sure they had a hot meal waiting for them. The meal consisted of shepherd's pie, salad, rolls, and a strawberry angel cake for about 20 people. This cook-out was part of the Convention Service Manager’s annual tradition of giving back to the community for ESPA (Event Services Professional Association) Celebrate Services Week.

The team’s cooking skills were met with much praise, with comments like “We so appreciate this hot meal after a long day at the hospital” and “thank you for this blessed meal” written across a thank you note received by the team.

We’d like to give our team a big round of applause for their hard work, compassion, and excellent cooking skills!
