The Tampa Convention Center is pleased to announce our new Sales & Marketing Manager—our very own Juan Lopez.

Juan has worked as a valued Convention Service Manager (CSM) for 8 years at the Tampa Convention Center. Now, he has transitioned into the role of Sales & Marketing Manager, taking on new challenges to attraction tourism to our facility.

“I am honored and excited to be the new Sales & Marketing Manager at the Tampa Convention Center,” explains Juan. “Having served 8 years at TCC in the Convention Services department, building relationships with our clients and partners is what I have enjoyed the most.  I look forward to continuing these relationships in my new role, and in helping take TCC to the next level.”

Juan graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration and recently completed a second degree in Finance from the University of South Florida.

Before joining our team, Juan worked in event management for stadium and arenas. Some of the events he worked on included the Super Bowl, NBA Playoffs, MTV Video Music Awards, and the Latin Grammy Awards.

The most memorable events he has worked on at the Tampa Convention Center include the Republican National Convention, College Football National Championship, NHL All Star Weekend, Gasparilla, and the IBM Conference.

In the future, Juan looks forward to strengthening relationships with past clients, while working to attract even more events that showcase Tampa Bay on the national and international stage.
