GuardianCon may be full of fun and games, but these creators are playing for much more than simple entertainment—they’re raising money for a heartwarming cause.
Leading up to the GuardianCon meetup, which takes place this weekend at the Tampa Convention Center, a select group of creators have been participating in an online charity marathon to raise money for St Jude’s Research Hospital. Nearly $3 MILLION have been raised to date through the online video game streaming service, Twitch, thanks to donations from generous viewers.
The Twitch charity marathon started on July 5th, and ends today, July 12th, right before the GuardianCon event at the Tampa Convention Center. During GuardianCon (July 13-14), fans can meet some of their favorite streamers, including NINJA, Gothalion, Professor Broman, and others who have supported the St Jude’s fund raiser. Fans will also be able to donate to the cause during the event to help GuardianCon exceed their charity mission.
The Tampa Convention Center is ready to welcome professional gamers, creators, and fans to Tampa this weekend and support such a great cause.

GuardianCon was founded by Tampa residents, Cory Michael, Ben Bowman, and Kevin Murray--more commonly known by their gamer tags KingGothalion, ProfessorBroman and kmagic101.
