Get Rebates for Making Water-Efficient Choices
Tampa Water Department customers are encouraged to apply for the Tampa Bay Water Wise rebate program which offers a variety of water-saving rebates for qualifying properties. These rebates help offset some of the costs of installing water-efficient appliances and fixtures, and are available to single-family homeowners, multi-family property owners, as well as businesses and organizations.
Participating water utilities include:
- City of Tampa
- Hillsborough County
- City of New Port Richey
- Pasco County
- City of St. Petersburg
- Pinellas County
This rebate program is facilitated by Tampa Bay Water, our regional water supplier, in partnership with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
If you own a home, mobile home, condo, or townhome, you may be eligible for any of the water-efficient rebates:
- EPA WaterSense-certified, high-efficiency toilet - up to $100
- EPA WaterSense-certified, smart irrigation controller - up to $250 plus free installation
- Shallow well for outdoor irrigation - up to $1,000
Note: Tampa's water use restrictions still apply to anyone who uses well water for irrigation.
Owners of apartment buildings or multi-family properties may be eligible to receive any of the following water-efficient rebates:
- EPA WaterSense-certified, high-efficiency toilet - up to $75 each
- EPA WaterSense-certified, high-efficiency showerhead - up to $15 each
- EPA WaterSense-certified, high-efficiency aerator - up to $5
- Customizable rebate - reimbursement up to 75% of project costs, up to $40,000 per project
Note: Customizable projects should improve water use efficiency in commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-family properties. Some examples include:
- High-efficiency toilet, showerhead, and plumbing fixture replacements
- High-efficiency restaurant equipment
- Irrigation system modifications
- Weather stations for irrigation control
- Cooling tower modifications and pretreatment systems
- High-efficiency commercial/industrial processing equipment
Office buildings, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, schools, and more may be eligible to apply for any of the following water-efficient rebates:
- Non-residential, high-efficiency toilets & urinals - up to $75
- Hotel & motel - up to $75 per fixture
- Cooling towers - up to $10,000
- Pre-rinse spray valve - up to $50
- Florida Water Star - up to $1,000
- Commercial dishwasher - up to $400
- Customizable rebate - reimbursement up to 75% of project costs, up to $40,000 per project

- Multi-setting, flow-adjusting garden hose nozzle

Rain Sensor
All automatic irrigation systems are required by Florida law to have a working rain sensor, or other moisture-sensing device, to prevent your system from turning on when rain is sufficient.

Commercial Kitchen Pre-Rinse Spray Nozzle
These 1.28 gpm commercial kitchen pre-rinse spray nozzles are available to commercial accounts only, including, but not limited to restaurants, hotels, and hospitals.
Toilet Flapper
Have a leaky flapper? Tampa Water Department customers can request a FREE toilet flapper (limit one per household). E-mail us your account number, first and last name, and mailing address, and we'll mail it to you after verifying your account.
Disclaimer: Our adjustable frugal-flush flappers are universal and fit most toilets, but not all. We recommend you test your toilet for leaks before and after replacing a flapper to make sure it is properly sealed.
