Tampa Solid Waste Collection Continues for Tampa Residents and Businesses Ahead of Hurricane Milton

The City of Tampa Solid Waste Department will continue to run collection services ahead of Hurricane Milton.

Garbage and recycling collection will continue Monday, October 7, 2024. SWEEP and Yard Waste services, however, continues to be suspended post Hurricane Helene and the upcoming arrival of Hurricane Milton.

The hours of the McKay Bay Transfer Station continues to be extended to accommodate Tampa residents and businesses following the damaging effects of Hurricane Helene.

The McKay Bay Transfer Station will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until announcement of closure due to Hurricane Milton.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to take advantage of the McKay Bay Transfer Station for disposal of Hurricane related debris. Residential Solid Waste account holders, residing within City of Tampa limits may dispose of selected accepted items at no additional charge.

Customers are encouraged to download the Tampa Trash and Recycling app on the Apple and Google Play Stores to receive real-time updates on service schedules.
