Going to Red Bull Flugtag This Saturday? Here's Everything You Need to Know

Come cheer on daring flight crews as they launch homemade flying machines into Tampa Bay! Red Bull Flugtag is returning to the Tampa Convention Center on Saturday, November 9. It is free and open to the public.

Around 80,000 spectators are expected to pack the Tampa Riverwalk for this high-flying competition. This event will have an estimated economic impact of $3,423,000 for the City of Tampa and the surrounding region, according to Visit Tampa Bay.

Crews will launch their aircraft off a 27-foot-tall flight deck constructed over the Tampa Convention Center Marina. They will be evaluated by celebrity judges, including Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy and NFL Hall of Famer and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Derrick Brooks.

More than 30 teams will compete, including Team Tampa, which features Tampa Convention Center service partners Aramark (exclusive food and beverage provider) and Encore (audio visual and exclusive rigging provider).

This will be the third Red Bull Flugtag to happen in Tampa, as it was previously held in the city in 2011 and 2008.
