National League of Cities (NLC) in Tampa for 2024 City Summit

The National League of Cities (NLC), is hosting its premier annual event, the 2024 City Summit, in Tampa this week, convening more than 4,000 elected officials and municipal staff from across the United States. The summit runs from November 13 through November 16.

In addition to showcasing Tampa as a hub for municipal innovation and leadership, this summit will celebrate the NLC’s 100th anniversary.

The City Summit provides a unique platform for municipal leaders to explore innovative solutions to common challenges facing local governments today. U.S. mayors and other attendees can participate in workshops, panels, and networking opportunities covering topics like affordable housing, public safety, climate resilience, and workforce development. This year’s event will also feature groundbreaking projects from the Tampa Bay region, exemplifying how cities can drive positive change.

 

MEDIA INVITATION

Members of the media are invited to attend a special press conference to kick off the 2024 City Summit. Tampa Mayor Jane Castor will join NLC leadership to discuss the impact of the City Summit and celebrate Tampa’s role as host city.
