Tampa Police are currently investigating a fatal vehicle crash at the intersection of E Bougainvillea Ave and McKinley Dr.
Just before 10:00 a.m., officers responded to E Bougainvillea Ave and McKinley Dr.
following a report of a crash involving several vehicles.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the driver of a Kia Sorento turning onto East Bougainvillea Ave was hit by a Dodge Ram traveling southbound on McKinley Dr.
The driver of the Kia Sorento, an adult female in her late 20’s, was pronounced deceased on scene.
The adult driver and adult passenger of the Dodge Ram were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A third vehicle traveling southbound on McKinley Dr. was attempting to avoid the crash and subsequently crashed into a wooded area. The driver and sole occupant, an adult male, was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A fourth vehicle was hit by debris from the initial crash. The driver and sole occupant, an adult female, was not injured.
East Bougainvillea Ave and McKinley Dr. remain closed at this time. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes to allow for the investigation.
