TAMPA, FL. (February 18th, 2025) - The Tampa Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured four people.
Shortly before 12:40pm, officers received a call for shots heard in the area of 2600 E 28th Ave. When officers arrived, they initially located three victims, however, a fourth victim was later identified as being injured related to the shooting. The victims were all taken to the hospital where Jessie Dorce (B/M DOB: 3/24/93) later died from his injuries. One victim remains hospitalized in stable condition, the other two victims have since been released.
While early in the investigation, detectives believe this shooting was targeted, and that there is no ongoing threat to the community. Investigators are speaking with witnesses and reviewing cameras in the area.
