TAMPA, Fla. (Thursday, July 7, 2022 ) - Ronny Walker was arrested and charged with Premeditated First Degree Murder on Thursday afternoon, in connection with the murder of Nilexia B. Alexander.
On May 6, 2022 at 3:58 a.m., Tampa Police discovered a deceased female by the road near the 100 block of Floribraska Ave. The victim was identified as 14-year-old Nilexia Alexander, a runaway out of Temple Terrace.
Through investigative techniques, detectives were able to tie Ronny Walker's vehicle to the vehicle that was in the area during the time of the murder. Additionally, cellphone evidence placed the victim inside Walker's vehicle around the time of the homicide.
A search warrant was done on Walker's vehicle and evidence was sent to FDLE. Results from FDLE tested positive with the victim's DNA.
U.S. Marshals took Walker into custody on Thursday. The case remains under investigation.
