The City of Tampa's Department of Solid Waste and Environmental Program Management will extend its curbside pickup of natural Christmas trees following the Christmas and New Year's Holidays.
The Department of Solid Waste and Environmental Management Program understands there are residents still working to remove decor from their homes following the Christmas holiday. Rather than ending the collection on Friday, January 13, dates are being extended.
At no additional charge, residents will receive Christmas tree collection on their scheduled yard waste day, until Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
To take advantage of this service, residents must do the following:
- Remove all decorations and lights.
- Ideally, cut tree limbs to four (4) feet lengths.
- Bundle, and place curbside on their regularly scheduled yard waste collection day between January 3, to January 31, 2023.
- All discarded lights and/or decorations are not recyclable and must be placed in the garbage cart.
To receive personalized schedules, download the Tampa Trash and Recycling app from Apple and Google Play Stores.
