The City of Tampa invites the community to come out for Illuminate East Tampa, where community leaders will light up a floating Christmas tree at Robert L. Cole, Sr. Community Lake.
Illuminate East Tampa, beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 2, will be a fun event for the whole family. Community members can enjoy Christmas music from Instruments For Life, refreshments, holiday crafts, and even a visit from Santa!
Tampa Parks & Recreation Director Sherisha Hills will open the official program at 6:30 PM, followed by remarks by Councilman Orlando Gudes. Council Chairman Joseph Citro, Councilman Guido Maniscalco, and Councilwoman Lynn Hurtak will also be in attendance.
At 6:55 PM, there will be a song and group countdown to the big tree lighting by Jazzy Seniors.
Illuminate East Tampa is hosted by Tampa Parks & Recreation.
