MEDIA ADVISORY: DUI crash arrest

Arrested: Hannah Lynn Peters, (D.O.B. 2/16/1992)
Details: The defendant, Hannah Lynn Peters, was driving her vehicle northbound on 30th St N when she drifted over the lane marker into oncoming traffic. Peters struck a motorcyclist head-on that was traveling southbound on 30th St N. After the crash, Peters attempted to flee the scene but her vehicle was boxed in at the parking lot of the CVS at 2911 Fowler Ave N by officers who were in close proximity and responding to the scene. Upon contact with officers, Peters was observed to display multiple signs of impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI with Serious Bodily Injury, Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Crash with Serious Bodily Injury, and Child Neglect for having her 5-year-old child in the car at the time of the crash. The child was not injured during the crash.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive.
The crash remains under investigation.
