The event, Your Life Matters: Depression and Suicide Prevention One Step at a Time, will be held on Wednesday, September 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. virtually via Zoom.
This forum is sponsored by the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council, a program of the City of Tampa that allows local teens to develop their leadership skills and apply them through various service projects and workshops.
Expert panelists will discuss the importance of teen mental health, speak about how to navigate mental health crises, the work that mental health professionals do, and the special struggles that LGBTQ+ youth face. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask each of the panelists questions directly in an open discussion.
