Mayor Jane Castor and the Mayor's Hispanic Advisory Council will welcome Elias Torres, co-founder and CTO of Drift as keynoter of the 2022 Latinos Unidos Luncheon today, May 11, 2022, at Armature Works. The event marks the return of the luncheon for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
Torres will share his success story as the co-founder and CTO of Drift, as well as share insights about the tech industry’s growth in Tampa Bay.
Net proceeds of the luncheon support the Council's endowed scholarships at Hillsborough Community College, the University of South Florida and University of Tampa, which are awarded to local Hispanic students with financial need. Torres himself was a recipient of a Latino Scholarship in 1995 and is the first luncheon speaker with that distinction.
This event is sponsored by DRIFT. Additional sponsorships for the Luncheon and general event information are currently available in the City of Tampa Latinos Unidos website page.
