MEDIA ADVISORY: Unveiling of Ybor City Road Safety Project

WHAT: Mayor Jane Castor is set to announce Tampa’s latest Quick Build project, which includes additional bicycle lanes and parking in one of Tampa’s high-injury corridors. This innovative project includes a redesign of Avenida Republica de Cuba (14th St) from Columbus Drive to Lake Avenue in the V.M. Ybor Neighborhood, making the roadway safer for pedestrians and bicyclists in a growing commercial and residential area of Tampa.

LOCATION: N Avenida Republica de Cuba & 26th Avenue. There will be a short-duration road closure and the area will allow for media/press event parking.
