Do your kids love big trucks? The City of Tampa is proud to host Florida’s SWANA Road-e-o, a Solid Waste truck driving competition on Saturday, April 29th from 8AM – 1PM.
Solid Waste drivers from across the state will be competing in obstacle courses to show off their impressive skills.
City of Tampa employees and their families are invited to attend the SWANA Road-e-o to enjoy the demonstrations and celebrate our unsung heroes.
In true Tampa fashion, this year’s competition is pirate-themed and will be kicked off with the help of Mayor Jane Castor and Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla. 🏴☠️
Employees are asked to bring their employee IDs.
The competition will be held at the Tampa Police Training Course located at 116 S. 34th St, Tampa.
Winners will go on to the national competition in Denver, Colorado.
