Tampa Convention Center is proud to announce that it has been selected as a finalist in the Stella Awards based on the number of public votes it received. The Tampa Convention Center is under consideration for the Best Convention Center in the Southeast U.S. category.

“We are honored to be recognized among the best venues in the country,” said David Ingram, Tampa Convention Center Executive Director. “This is a testament to our team and service partners who work tirelessly to give our clients an excellent event experience.”

Finalists were determined by a public voting period. Based on the number of votes, a limited number of nominees advanced to become finalists.

The Tampa Convention Center was among more than 900 nominations across 16 categories. This year’s awards broke records for the number of nominees and the number of voters, with 10,000 votes counted.

The Stella Awards highlight the best facilities in the events and meetings industry across six regions worldwide, giving global recognition to the Tampa Convention Center in Downtown Tampa. The awards celebrate overall excellence, superb food and beverage, professionalism of staff, sustainability initiatives, and other critical aspects of the meetings and event experience. They are presented by Northstar Meetings Group and are now in their 7th year.

A panel of judges will now determine gold, silver, and bronze winners. The panel is made up of meeting and event industry experts and is assembled by the editors of Northstar Meetings Group’s leading brands, Meetings & Conventions, Meeting News, Incentive and Successful Meetings.

Winners will be announced on October 10, 2023.
