Tampa Solid Waste Department Revises Christmas Collection Schedule

In observance of Christmas Day, City of Tampa offices will be closed on Thursday, December 24, 2020 and Friday, December 25, 2020. 

Residential Customers who receive collection Friday, will be affected.

Residential Customers who normally receive service on Friday will be serviced the following day (Saturday, December 26th. Regular collection service schedules will resume Monday, December 28, 2020.

Commercial Customers will not receive collection service on Friday, December 25th.The revised collection schedule is as follows:

Commercial Customers who normally receive service on Friday, December 25, 2020 will receive service on Saturday, December 26.Regular collection service schedules will resume Monday, December 28, 2020.

McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House located at 114 S. 34th St., will be closed on Christmas Day (Friday, December 25, 2020) and will reopen with regularly scheduled hours on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

Happy Holidays to our valued City residents.  The Department will begin offering curbside Christmas Tree Collection Service, at no additional charge, on Monday, December 28, 2020.   To take advantage of this service, residents must remove all decorations and lightscut tree limbs to four (4) feet lengths, bundle, and place curbside on their regularly scheduled yard waste collection day prior to January 8, 2021.  All discarded lights and/or decorations are not recyclable and must be placed in the garbage cart (not recycling cart).
