As a result of Hurricane Nicole, the City of Tampa is revising solid waste services.
The revised schedule is as follows:
- Residential collection will be affected.
- Garbage collection will be suspended Thursday, November 10th and will resume Monday, November 14th. Please secure all containers in preparation for the storm.
- Recycling will be suspended Thursday, November 10th and will resume Monday, November 14th. Please secure your green recycling carts in preparation for the storm.
- Yard waste will be suspended Thursday, November 10th and will resume Monday, November 14th. Please secure any yard waste items in preparation for the storm.
- Commercial collection will be affected. Service will be suspended Thursday, November 10th and will resume Friday, November 11th.
- SWEEP and Special Pickup services are suspended until further notice.
- Hurricane-Ian vegetative debris collection will be affected. Debris collection will be suspended tomorrow, November 10th and will resume Friday, November 11th. Please secure and leave your Hurricane Ian vegetative debris curbside.
- McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House located at 114 S. 34th St., will be closed to the public tomorrow, November 10th and Friday, November 11th and will open Saturday with normal business hours.
Customers are encouraged to download the Tampa Trash and Recycling app to receive real-time updates on service schedules. Customers may contact the City of Tampa Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811 or visit the website at www.tampa.gov/solidwaste if they have any questions or concerns.
