The Tampa Water Department is extending the valve assessment phase of this project. The work will continue to temporarily affect traffic patterns along the following streets:
- Along Habana Avenue, starting at W. Hillsborough Avenue and moving south towards W. Columbus Avenue
- A portion of streets bordered between W. Martin Luther King Blvd and S. Columbus Avenue and North Himes Avenue and North Habana Avenue
Detours and road closures will continue to be clearly marked with signs and barricades to assist with traffic flows while this work is being performed. As always, work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The Tampa Water Department appreciates everyone’s patience as we upgrade the water distribution system.
This work is part of the City’s PIPES (Progressive Infrastructure Plan to Ensure Sustainability) Program and represents our continued commitment toward improving Tampa’s infrastructure.
