As Tampa Police Detectives continue working to develop leads in an August 27 homicide investigation, they join the victim's family in asking for help from our community.
In the early morning hours of August 27, 2022, 45 year-old Willie James Carraway was shot and killed while hanging out with friends in the 1500 block of North Nebraska Avenue. Two other adult males were struck by gunfire during the same time and in the same area. Both have since been treated and released from the hospital.
The family of Willie Carraway has authorized the release of his information in the hope that someone with information related to his homicide will come forward. Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $5,000 if an arrest is made based on information provided to them in relation to this investigation.
