#ShopSmallTampa Directory Aims to give Businesses, Consumers a Holiday Boost
The seasonal directory will be available at tampagov.net/ShopSmallTampa from November 24 to December 31

The City of Tampa is hosting its third annual #ShopSmallTampa marketing campaign, which features an online directory of local home-based and brick-and-mortar businesses. The campaign leverages the City’s extensive social media and web presence to help generate free publicity for small and diverse retailers and firms.

Small business owners who are interested in having their retail shop, restaurant, or professional firm highlighted in the directory can register at tampa.gov/ShopSmallTampa. The deadline to register is November 25.

Consumers will be able to view the #ShopSmallTampa online directory starting on November 24 at tampa.gov/ShopSmallTampa. The campaign ends on December 31.

#ShopSmallTampa has helped generate publicity valued at more than $200,000 for dozens of local businesses since its launch in 2019. City organizers hope this year’s campaign will raise even greater awareness of the need to support local businesses during and beyond the holidays, as many still work to overcome challenges brought on by the pandemic.

The #ShopSmallTampa marketing campaign is part of the City’s Bridges to Business initiative launched by Mayor Jane Castor’s administration to help strengthen relationships between the local business community and the City government.

Participation in #ShopSmallTampa is voluntary and does not indicate an endorsement by the City of Tampa.
