Beginning at 9am today, the outside eastbound lane as well as the outside westbound lane on E Columbus Dr will be closed between N 40th St and N 43rd St while the Tampa Water Department continues repairs after an earlier water main break. Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm and then close again the following morning at 9am to continue the work. Please use caution when driving in the area. Modifications may be necessary during the course of the work.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is now expected by 5pm, Monday, December 12. The Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work. An update will be provided at that time. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
