Bridges to Business Connects Small Businesses with Big Opportunities

The City of Tampa is now providing new opportunities for small, minority subcontractors contractors across the Tampa Bay Area to get involved with City of Tampa Construction Projects with our latest Bridges to Business Subcontractor Outreach Event. This will take place on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Tampa Convention Center.

Contractors will be able to meet and network with the City's Contract Administration Department, Purchasing Department, and Equal Business Opportunity staff in addition to partner agencies, sureties, insurance providers, and dozens of prime contractors for City of Tampa construction projects.

"By promoting diversity in our City of Tampa construction projects, we are opening the doors to greater employee engagement, business innovation, and performance," said Janelle McGregor, director of Community Engagement and Partnerships. "This is a strong solution for ensuring future success on some of our biggest projects and supporting small and minority business owners."

The outreach event comes as City leaders explore ways to develop new job opportunities out of existing contracts. Staff from the Contract Administration Department, Purchasing, and Equal Business. Specific opportunities for construction subcontractors include general contractors, design-builders, and job-order contractors.

The event is free. REGISTER: tampa.gov/BTBtour
