The Gasparilla Pirate Invasion is one of the most iconic events in Tampa, Florida, and Tampa Convention Center is at the heart of all the action.

The Gasparilla flotilla of pirate ships will travel into Seddon Channel on January 28, 2023. At 1 pm, the Jose Gasparilla pirate ship will dock at the Tampa Convention Center, where the Mayor of Tampa will surrender the keys to the city of Tampa to Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla. This will lead to a victorious Parade of Pirates along Bayshore Boulevard.

To prepare revelers for the day of pirate festivities, there will be a Gasparilla Invasion Brunch at Tampa Convention Center starting at 10 am. The event features a buffet, entertainment, a cash bar, and the best view of the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion.

Tickets to the brunch are still available, but they are selling out quickly. You can get tickets at GasparillaTreasures.com. Brunch tickets do not include parade seating.

The brunch sample menu includes a prime rib carving station, hot entrees such as chicken, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, French toast, scrambled eggs, a fruit and cheese display, and assorted bakery items.

You can also view the Invasion at The Sail Plaza, featuring The Sail Bar and Big Ray’s Fish Camp on the Riverwalk. Plan to get there early, as large crowds are expected.
