Community members are invited to participate in a free eBike demonstration where they will have a chance to test drive an electric-powered bike and learn more about the City of Tampa’s new eBike voucher program.
The demonstration takes place tomorrow from 5:30 - 7 p.m. at Ragan Park Community Center located at 1200 East Lake Avenue.
The City of Tampa Community Engagement & Partnerships team is leading this educational opportunity alongside the City’s Mobility Department to help introduce eBikes as reliable, affordable, and sustainable forms of transportation.
Thanks to a partnership with City Bike Tampa, eBike specialists will be on hand at the demonstration to explain the differences between electric and traditional bicycles. The local bike shop will also have eBikes on site for participants to interact with.
Tampa residents ages 18 and up who would like to invest in an eBike can apply for the City’s voucher program at the event. Eligible voucher recipients can receive up to $2,000 off the purchase of a new electric set of wheels. The deadline to apply for the eBike Voucher program is April 14.
Additional information is available at tampa.gov/eBike.
