Starting at 9am on May 23, Wastewater Department crews will close the eastbound lanes on E Whiting St between S Morgan St and N Pierce St to repair a sewer lateral. Signage and traffic control devices will be in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. Westbound traffic will not be impacted. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes and use caution when driving in the area. Safe access will be maintained for residences and businesses in the area.
Construction and restoration work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, May 26. Normal traffic patterns will then resume. A high-resolution map of the work area and recommended detour routes is embedded below. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions.
