Due to more extensive repairs needed to complete this work, the southbound lane on Benjamin Road will continue to remain closed between Gardner Court Drive and West Sitka Street while the Tampa Water Department completes maintenance on the water distribution system. Barricades and flaggers are in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm each night and then close again at 9am the following morning to continue the work. Please use caution when driving in the area.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is now expected by 5pm, Saturday, June 10. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
