Beginning at 9am today (06/09/2023), the westbound lane on Madison Avenue will be closed between Palm Drive and Madison Lake Circle while the Tampa Water Department conducts maintenance on the water distribution system. During this time, westbound traffic will shift to the center lane. Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm each night, and then close again at 9am the following morning to continue the work. Please use caution when driving in the area.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5pm, Monday, June 12. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
