TAMPA, Fla. (June 29, 2023) -- In observance of Independence Day, the City of Tampa offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
Residential customers will not receive collection service on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. The revised collection schedule is as follows:
Residential customers who usually receive service on Tuesdays will not receive garbage, recycling, or yard waste service. Customers will receive service on their next scheduled service day.
Regular residential solid waste collection service schedules will resume Thursday, July 6, 2023.
Commercial customers will not receive collection service on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. The revised collection schedule is as follows:
Commercial customers who usually receive service on Tuesdays will receive service on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
Services will resume on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, but will run with a one-day delay until Saturday, July 8, 2023.
McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House, located at 114 S. 34th Street, will be closed on Independence Day (Tuesday, July 4, 2023) and reopen with regularly scheduled hours on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
Residential customers may look up their scheduled collection dates using the Tampa Trash and Recycling tool on the Department of Solid Waste Recycling webpage or download the app from the Apple and Google Play App stores. The lookup tool also provides a sign-up option for a reminder notification.
