Tampa Police have arrested 32-year-old Jonathan Miller, Jr. (4/26/1991) in relation to the murder of an adult male in Borrell Park, located at 808 E. 26th Ave. on Sunday.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the deceased, a black male in his early 30s, intervened after witnessing Miller assault a known adult white female in her late 30s. Miller and the male victim engaged in a verbal altercation, that escalated to a physical altercation, ending with Miller stabbing the victim.

All involved parties were known to each other. The female victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Tampa Police worked tirelessly throughout the night developing leads to apprehend the suspect. They were able to locate Miller in the 3600 block of E. 33rd Ave early Monday morning. Miller attempted to flee; however, officers quickly established a perimeter in the area and were able to take Miller into custody.

Miller has been charged with battery (of the female victim) and murder (of the male victim). He will be transported to Orient Road Jail.
