Due to more time needed to complete the street restoration portion of this work, all northbound lanes on South Franklin Street will continue to remain closed between Channelside Drive and Water Street. Anyone exiting Harbour Island using South Harbour Island Boulevard will need to make the first right onto Water Street. An alternate option in exiting Harbour Island would be to use South Beneficial Drive instead. Barricades and signs are located in the area to assist with traffic flow. Please use caution when driving in the area. Modifications may be necessary during the course of the work.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is now expected by 5pm, Tuesday, November 21. The Tampa Water Department will need to return at a later date to complete additional street restoration work. An update will be provided at that time. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
