On January 30, Water Street between S Franklin Street and S Florida Avenue was closed by a Wastewater Department contractor to facilitate the connection of a new pipeline to an existing pipeline in Water Street. Northbound and southbound traffic on Franklin Street and access to the Harbour Island Bridge will remain open. Detour signage and traffic control devices are in place to direct traffic around the closed road segments. Access will be maintained for residences and businesses in the area. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes and use caution when driving in the area.
