Beginning at 9am today, the eastbound lane on East Broadway Avenue will be closed between North 66th Street and North 70th Street while the Tampa Water Department repairs a water main break. Eastbound traffic will be shifted to the left turn lane to maintain flow in both directions. Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with traffic flow. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5pm today and remain open through the weekend. Starting on Monday, February 19, the eastbound lane will close daily from 9am to 5pm, until work is completed. Please use caution when driving in the area.
The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 5pm, Wednesday, February 21. The Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work. An update will be provided at that time. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time.
