The City of Tampa Solid Waste Department is doing everything possible to provide storm debris pick-up service for the most impacted areas from Hurricane Helene. Regular scheduled residential trash and recycling are being provided today; please secure all blue trash and green recycling carts, or any other outdoor containers, after service is completed.
Storm debris collection will halt tomorrow, Wednesday, October 9 at 3:00 PM. Not all neighborhoods will be able to receive service before the storm. If possible, for increased safety during the storm please move and secure any storm debris.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to take advantage of the McKay Bay Transfer Station for disposal of Hurricane related debris. Residential Solid Waste account holders, residing within City of Tampa limits may dispose of selected accepted items at no additional charge. Residents will not have to show utility bill but must provide identification verifying Tampa as their place of residence.
The McKay Bay Transfer Station will close today, Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 5:00PM.
